I got
[EMAIL PROTECTED] binaries]$ cat /dist/m5/system/binaries/vmlinux > /dev/null
cat: /dist/m5/system/binaries/vmlinux: Permission denied
But, I am the owner of /dist/m5/system/binaries/vmlinux.
Why?

Are you sure that the permissions are correct? If you do "cat
/dist/m5/system/binaries/vmlinux > /dev/null", does it work?
