The first error is because you're not using a 64bit version of Python.
The version of Python that comes with OS X 10.5 is 64bit, but if you
compile one from MacPorts you'll get a 32bit version. M5 is way faster
with a 64bit host, so I suggest you use the python that comes with OS X.
The second error is a bug is SCons v20071212d or newer. There have
been a couple of patches sent to the list over the last month that
implement a workaround in our SConscripts for it.
