This is because you're using gcc 4.3 which just came out and the
stable version of m5 doesn't support.  If you get the development
version of m5 (which should become the new stable version in a day or
so), these things should be fixed.  I only just now committed the last
thing that makes ALPHA compile under gcc 4.3, so you do need the very
latest stuff.
