Hi, I'm using M5 to profile a C function by producing a trace file and counting the number of instructions in the file that have been executed in that function.
As my trace files get larger, this is somewhat inefficient (taking say 10 seconds to sed or grep a file). I'm guessing there's a much more sensible way to profile an individual function - can anyone please help?
