Hello All,

I have some questions regarding converting SPARC_SE model which is SPARC
V9 to SPARC V8.
The major difference between the two, stated on wikipedia is as follows:

"The 32-bit SPARC V8 architecture is purely big-endian. The 64-bit SPARC
V9 architecture utilizes big-endian instructions, but can access data in either
big-endian or little-endian byte order, chosen either at the application
instruction (load/store) level or at the memory page level (via an MMU
setting). The latter is often used for accessing data from inherently little-
endian devices, such as those on PCI buses."

1. Assuming the only difference being 64-bit to 32-bit conversion, is it a
considerable amount of work? I would think I have to make the changes
throughout the simulator but was wondering if there was an easier way to do
so.

2. What would be the initial steps to do so? I am not an expert at M5 so I
haven't really done much 'modification' to the model. Any tips on where I
should start would be great.

Thank you.
