Thank you for your response, I have made my own root disk image from gentoo
stage 3, and the shell is ok for ctrl-z and ctrl-c via m5term.

Hi Yu,
It's likely not either, but rather that the terminal you're connected to
doesn't have job control. The ARM FS image does seem to allow SIGINT and
SIGSTOP via m5term.
