Hi everyone,

*Have you applied for a scholarship to attend Wikimania?*
*
You should.* Just imagine: it takes 15 minutes of your time to apply. If all goes well you'll have your housing, travel and food covered for 4-5 days in Washington DC at one of the most amazing experiences you will ever have in your Wiki-life, in an amazing city.

I'm going to get emo here:

Wikimania Haifa changed my life. And yes, that's cheesy, but it's true. Without Wikimania I wouldn't have met some of the amazing people I adore online, offline. I wouldn't have gained the confidence to apply for a Fellowship. I wouldn't have gotten to visit one of the most amazing places I had never been too. I would have never been able to feel like I truly mattered in the movement. And I have to say - no one parties like Wikimedians. Seriously. They know /how/ to party.

*Again, yeah, it's cheesy - but, seriously. Wikimania is pretty damn awesome. If you're worried about cost: we can help. If you're worried about not feeling you are worthy: you are. If you're worried about not filling out your application right: email me and I'll help.*

I want as many people to apply as possible. There is A LOT OF MONEY that is hoping to find the right person to help out.

Apply. Email me if I can help. I want to see as many people from this list there. And remember /you don't have to be a Wikimedian/ to apply. But you can be into open source, tech, education, and related areas.

DO IT, DARNIT!

-Sarah
