Big smile on my face... I love the idea of regular editathons. I've never been to a knitting/quilting circle but I imagine a group of women editing Wikipedia would have a similar look and feel. Piggy-backing on the WMDC "salons" might be a way forward as facilitating an "editathon" requires quite a bit of the facilitator, while a regularly scheduled editing-circle or editing-salon wouldn't require a facilitator at all. I think that would be easier to sustain and replicate.
