When I saw the "Privacy, anonymity, and perceived risk in open collaboration" paper in the Signpost a while back, I thought it was about Tor. But it's actually about threat models, and should be of interest to anyone who has been following the harassment discussion. The presentation is in the second half of the YouTube video, starting about 33:00.(1) The full text of the paper is also available, and I thought it worth a close reading.(2) If anyone is interested, I have also done a transcript of the video and some comment about the paper on my blog.(3)
