ok wait a minute. Not to sound like a complainer but i just wentto AR after
a long time of not being there.
Iwas this time able to listen to my own popout player.
The stream sounds horrid.
I went to find another stations player in there with the same settings as my
own.
mp3 / 128k, playing baiscally the same type of music.
Again it sounds horrid.
Im sorry but the quality of sound through these players is really not a good
representation of what our stations actually soud like.

I went ahead and checked outa few other stations at a much higher quality
stream and still same.... well... the same.

At first listen, i hear that when the full elements of the song is playing,
theres alot of crackeling.
This is usualy due to TOO MUCH or TOO HIGH of a signal coming out from the
source.

I know my signal isnt too high because im sitting right here, and have had
more then 14 years experiance in music production.
I know the other stream i listend to is also of GREAT quality because there
are more then 1000 people listening too it.

The problem is the player decoding the stream itself.

Im sorry but if getting top listing means i have to use the pop up player,,,
ill stay at the bottom if i have to.

Again, idont wantto sound like im complainging but i am just making a point
of something.
I often DONT use Windwos Media Player to listen to streams because its a
memory hog and its functions often take over your soundcard setings
Real player is just a jumbled mess of extra bundled programs into the
computer

i use WINAMP almost ALL the time
and VLC Player.
I listened again to these streams with these players and they wound CRYSTAL.

Any thoughts?
