The MIC jack on most sound cards is problematic.

Why not try plugging your mic into a pre-amp or mixer which is plugged into
the LINE IN jack on your sound card and see if that doesn't resolve the
issue for you?

Cheers,
Tony

Subject: [General-discussion] sounds from external devices?

so i have this issue starting up.
Honestly it sounds like im hearing processor sounds? but im not sure.

Everything is FINE if im broadcasting regularly with music already on the PC
or from an external drive.

If i plug in a pair of headphones and listen that way, it all sounds FINE!
but

the minute i plug in a MIC to the soundcard ( through whatever devices in
between )
I hear this buzzing sound, clicking, and i can hear blips as the mouse
moves.

Again this is ONLY when plugging in an external sound device.

Would an external soundcard help? work? fix it?
I cant even use the computer to record my voice with SAM turned off, i still
get the buzzing.

I was thinking about an M-Audio Card if one exists for me but.... i don want
to buy something that isn't going to solve the problem
