By default, and to conserve bandwidth, SAM will only upload album covers
when you tell it to, either manually one at a time via the Song Information
editor, or in bulk via the Upload Album covers menu item.

At the current time each track has its own associated album cover.
Festerhead has a nice little script called condition album covers, which
simply takes say, the 23 covers from LZ and condenses it down into one cover
for all 23 tracks.
This PAL script does work to an extent, I have tried it with about a 98%
success rate, but as always, your mileage may vary.
I know this topic has been brought up many times and is something Louis has
told us "I am aware of and looking into".
This means he knows about the pros and cons of each way, and will decide on
how he wants the newest version of SAM to handle it.

I hope this answers everyone's questions.

Unfortunately sam doesn't see led zeppelin II's cover.. I had to consolidate
23 different versions to make one standard... or it would copy up the other
22 covers.

Is there a generally accepted way to have an album have the same exact
cover... I've used covers from Amazon & Audiograbber's db and now using
Media Monkey to populate all my mp3's.

I'm moving SAM to an XP Box next month and consolidating the albums jpg's is
on the to-do list.

Thanks

Bill

It doesn't answer the question BUT - if you have several thousand covers

(because SAM can't tell a track is from the same album) it must take you

forever and a day to it. I add songs daily.
