"i did this starting more then 2 months ago and to this date, all sugestions have been tried to no avail. Please make sure you see this message. http://support.spacialaudio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=106668#106668 This is directed to Bryan Payne, and all the heads as well as to the people having the problem with "SAM MACHINE IS FREEZING AND IT ONLY RUNS SAM + SQL + I DO NOT USE IT FOR BROWSING THE NET...." Please answer the following questions: 1) Did the SAM freezing problem start for you around September / October or anytime after and never before this date? 2) Are you running SAM + MySql and almost nothing else on the machine? 3) Have you turned off any constant spyware monitoring software on the machine which includes NORTON? If you answer YES to all 3 items above and SAM is still freezing, then im sure i have figured out the issue: ok so all of us are having the same issue as eachother and it seems there is almost NOTHING similar between any of our installations. There is a catch here folks and we all have missed it. Now i dont want to say that i have found the golden key and i know exactly whats going wrong here but.... We are all runing SAM (whatever version) We are all runing SQL 4 or 5 We are all runing with different installations Some of us using SAM 4.2.3, 4.2.2 and maybe some are runing the new beta ( if there is one ) The ONLY thing we all have in common is the time frame that the mess all started as eachother. The only thing that connects us is WINDOWS UPDATES!!!!!! For a long time i had put off windows updates on this machine until a few months ago and sure enough i just realized this is the ONLY time it started happening. The problem isnt SAM the problem isnt version of MYSQL the problem isnt running through a network, wireless, or any of that other mess. I am completely sure that of this. Again i put off windows updates to this machine for almost 6 months while SAM was running and all of a sudden when i was having a different IP issue which turned out to be my verizon account, i then started doing updates ( 3 months ago ) and the problem began happening with SAM freezing."
