There are a number of reasons to use the CVS, most importantly its a _central_ safe keeping repository which is being actively backed-up. This will insure that we don't lose any data and that all your (and others') hard work will never be lost. The various CVS checkins also inform the various people on the list of active on-going involvement and work (case in point, not many people knowing about your 1.5 Beta release), etc, etc. I again want to stress the need for those files to be on CVS - at a min, you should upload them once a week or similar (create a script to access your mysql and dump out all the necessary information to be stored into CVS).
