I agree with you. These technical discussions should be kept strictly within the merits of the techical issues and nothing else. Unfortunately software developers and others in the IT industry are incapable of having an amicable discussion unless the discussion is restricted by a very formal and diplomatic format. Otherwise standards such as Unicode would never come to be because people would argue with each other forever. I suggest that this discussion be continued on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list which is the mailing list where Arabic-related Unicode discussion has traditionally been. Anyone can register for this list by: Emailing [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "subscribe bidi" as the subject and nothing else. I think [EMAIL PROTECTED] has moderated subscription so someone has to approve you before you get in.
