Hello Nadim (and others),
what we need for german non-profit would be a declaration (satzung) for starters. Some of the contents is standard.
There would still be a question: we can build a normal non-profit organisation (gemeinntziger Verein) or we could build a "Promotion association" (?) that will only collect money and spend it on arabeyes.org (Frderverein). That way we could create many such organisations in different countries around the world.
i am sending two different standard declarations with this email for all german speeking ones between us. i don't have the time to translate the docs so, if anyone is able to translate them into english, so that anyone can read what is written inside...
Salam.
Omar

And we must note, that for the creation of an "eingetragener Verein" (e.V. = registered Association) we need MINIMUM 7 People.
Meaning you need 7 people in Germany in order to register ? What is the role of these people if any (ie. does it matter who they are or can we say include family members just to boast the count :-) ?
So if setup in Germany, is their periodic paperwork involved or is it "setup and forget" ?
If there is a problem with someone we are running into trouble.
Sorry, what do you mean ?
I know a egyptian Linux-Developer which live in Berlin, maybe he want to join too...
Yeah, Ayman - so consider we have 4 now.
In France there is a possibility with two People, but the Assosiation has only limited rights and I think it is not acceptable.
Sounds like we should continue to consider other options.
Salam.
