Hello Meor, >I've not touch the font development for months, so it will take times >for me to look at it again, then modify the font to make it work in >those cases. However, I think the arabeyes-qr font (by Yousif) was >design to work that way (from what I can tell the the GSUB table), but >also failed under windows. Maybe you want to give it a try under Linux >(I don't have a linux box atm), and it might work.
Unfortunately I don't have a linux box where I can test this either. Maybe someone else in the list might help. Anyone who has a Linux box with Pango installed and enabled for OpenType Arabic fonts? Meor, which distribution would they need to be able to use OpenType Arabic fonts in Linux? Also, the arabeyes-qr font is a non-starter on Windows so I would not bother testing with it. I would suggest that you make the modification to your font to enable the usage of 0621 for both case 1 and case 2 and someone else on this list can help us test it on a Linux box. How does that sound? Regards, Mete -- Mete Kural Touchtone Corporation 714-755-2810 --
