last time I wanted to update that list (for consistency with committee- info.txt), I had the same problems and my investigations let me find that the list from front page is currently in http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/infrastructure/site/trunk/templates/index.html
Seems like it was done during www.apache.org refresh a few monthes ago, I don't know if thisis temporary or not.
