I recently raised https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-24736 which is intended to make it easier to manage adding 'retired' banners to Cwiki spaces.
If this succeeds, in future Cwiki spaces can be managed by updating https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/attic/site/cwiki_retired There will be no need to update Puppet (generally requires Infra to be involved). Also if a project comes out of retirement, it should only be necessary to delete the relevant file. At present this requires manual intervention by Infra to remove the flag file. Sebb
