Obviously, I haven't really had time to keep BRLUG going very strong in
the past few months. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time. So to
help BRLUG stay active I would like to see the following position
filled:
Topic Organizer.
Requires 2-5 hours a month.
Schedule topics for future meetings, and work with Group Coordinator
(that's me) on scheduling guest presentations.
Public Relations.
Requires 2-5 hours a month.
Ensures that all Linux websites and LUG listings are keep updated with
BRLUG events.
James Long, our current PR guy, has done an excellent job in the past.
But I haven't seen him at a meeting in the past several months, so he
obviously has been too busy to keep up. Of the two positions, this is
probably the easiest job, so I definately hope to have it filled soon.
If you regularly attend BRLUG meetings I would really like to see you
volunteer some time. Being an active part of BRLUG is a rewarding
experience, and can expose you to more people in the field. Another
important factor is that I'm too busy to continue doing these things, so
if there are no volunteers then these things won't get done.
Regards, Dustin
