The calendar on the www.brlug.net site states that someone will speak about Perl and how to use it, but we don't have anyone to speak on it. Do we have any volunteers? My Perl skills aren't that great. I'm offering instead to give a presentation I gave to my company on Jabber (http://www.jabber.org), which is an open source IM system for communicating with uncompatible IM networks via XML. Basically, you can use Jabber to talk with friends who have accounts on ICQ, MSN, Yahoo and AIM, all at the same time. I'd like to know if you are interested in seeing this presentation, or if somebody will volunteer to talk about Perl. We need to make a decision with a week so that I can change the calendar, as well as give a couple of weeks to prepare for the presenter.
