You can park in the paid parking at the Union if the lot is not full. There
is on-street parking on the street that runs between the Union and Coates
Hall. In the past, some of the other campus parking lots were opened to
public in the evenings.

Coates is easy to find. If you are standing in front of the Union (parade
ground side) and face east (or maybe ENE), Coates is the building across the
street (like in this <a
href="http://www.lsu.edu/campus/locations/COAT.html";>picuture</a>). Parking
is
another thing, though. I'll call around first thing in the morning and get
the
scoop and let everybody know where to park. There is plenty of parking space
in
front of Coates, but I'm not sure if we will be towed or not. Lemme find
out.
I'd like us to work the bugs out of campus meetings, as there are many
advantages: Internet connectivity, nice rooms, lots of enthusiastic
students,
the library is just a building or two over, etc. Not to mention that I work
there and I can walk to meetings. :)

I believe Coates was the Chemistry building back in the 30s and 40s. There
are probably a few hints about the place, if you nose what I mean. If not,
you may see me wandering endlessly in search of the meeting. <grin>
