Actually, I already use RCS when I am working with configuration files.
I've come to the conclusion that I wanted something that did
everything--unfortunately, it doesn't exist. Rather, I am just going to
continue using RCS and my existing log.event script. In the near future
I hope to create a program that will work similar to log.event, but log
multiple hosts to one central database that I can easily review/scan. As
of now each UNIX host has a file named /var/log/event.log (or
/var/adm/event.log depending on the platform) that holds the logs.
