I'd like to help with the Demo Day and the Install Fest. I can bring a speedy laptop running RedHat 6.2 and a 4 port hub. I assume we will have power where ever it is held, but what about Internet connectivity? Not necessary, but it would be nice. I'd also like to suggest that someone bring an old box and show that Linux can run on it as well. I have a Dell 450/L slimline desktop with a 486-50 and 16MB RAM that works great. Anybody have a 386? :) John Hebert System Engineer [EMAIL PROTECTED] Changing your state of mind through sound.

-----Original Message----- From: Dustin Puryear [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sun, 17 Dec 2000 05:58:48 +0000 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [brluglist] Linux Demo Day
Well, I think it's time we had another Linux Demo Day. Our last one was a great success, so it's time for a repeat. I propose we have on in early February. How about 2/3/01? That will be a Saturday. This time I would like to see at least two computers networked and running a nice game such as Quake or Civ:CTP. In addition, we should be running tools such as Samba, MySQL/PHP/Apache, and more. Comments? If I get at least 4 'Yes' votes I'll schedule the day and make arrangements with someone local that can provide us with space. Regards, Dustin
