Works great for me. I have 2 systems with dual RAID 1 30GB IDE drives. I
have also tried with the Promise ATA100 RAID PCI controller. It works well
also (need drivers from Promise for RedHat (only distro I have tried it
with)). The only problem with the Promise card is that you will only get
RAID errors on bootup when it goes through the BIOS check. They don't have
any monitoring software for linux yet.

In fact, we had a drive bail on our K12LTSP system. We just shut down pulled
the drive and powered back up. It complained that it didn't have two drives
then continued booting. All we have to do is replace the drive and resync
it. Voila
