John, the PATRIOT Act passed last week:

Note, that I tend to agree with most that the PATRIOT Act is the best of the
three main proposals out there. It sucks, but it sucks less than the others.
Also, several of it's provisions will expire within a few years.

As far as the SSSCA, I hope it never passes. It would be nice to have a
discussion on it, as we had planned earlier. In addition, having someone
tell us exactly how we will be affected by the PATRIOT Act would also be
beneficial.

Did anyone read about the DeCSS linking victory?
