Thanks to everyone who's replied to my question. I was originally looking for MP3 players but will now take a look at the ogg format. I've gotten XMMS to play music CDs without any problems but had problems getting it to recognize MP3 CDs. There's another application that plays the MP3's but its name eludes me right at this moment. I'm sure I have some option set wrong in XMMS or even possibly the Gnome desktop, but I haven't really gotten around to explore the problem in depth. I mainly wanted some ideas and opinions on what's currently available so I would have a place to start. Otherwise I'll spend the whole day doing searches on Google. Well, I'll probably end up doing that anymore.
