FYI, I considered this for a moment, but decided against it. Plus, BRLUG
has a "no money changing hands" policy, which includes donations and dues.
LAFIX and NOLUG, you may be interested though.

Hi Dustin. Thanks for your quick response and for your interest in the
affiliate program.
It's a completely opt-in program where we will provide your chapter/group
with a coded link/URL for members to visit to subscribe to one or more of
Ziff Davis' free trade magazines. For subscriptions that qualify to receive
the magazine(s), that chapter will get
a $5 bounty for each subscription.
As far as what constitutes "qualified" and what doesn't, each magazine has
different qualifying factors. Mostly, because they are free, professional
trade magazines, the qualifiers have to do with purchasing power within that
person's organization and how much influence he/she has on technology
decisions.
You can get the jist of it by checking out the current subscription forms
online for the Ziff Davis publications (see links below) I only used
Interactive Week and eWEEK as examples, but there are other magazine choices
as well, such SmartPartner, The Net Economy and CIO Insight.
Here's a link to the Interactive Week subscription form online:
http://www.omeda.com/ziff/iaw/iaw.cgi?&p=nt83
Here's a link to the eWEEK subscription form online:
http://www.omeda.com/ziff/ewk/ewk.cgi?HOME
You can do a mock run through of both to get an idea of the questions asked.
I hope this additional information answers any questions you might have.
Let me know if you'd like to have the Baton Rouge LUG included in this
program.
Best,
Julie
