I have a Umax 1220S scanner using an Adaptec 2940 card & I'm trying to run Xsane when I'm logged in as a user. I get an error message that says there is no device. When logged in as root, I can run Xsane after the cautionary message about running Xsane under root causing the apocalypse. How do I recognise the device in user?
