Hey, dont forget Firewire (aka i.link, ieee1394) - much faster than USB 1.x, and there's a modest range of devices available for it, including a whole mess'o digital camcorders. The Linux firewire compatibility page categorizes at least one scanner as "works great" - as are a few CD burners, and other external portable storage devices. http://linux1394.sourceforge.net/hcl.php -- Mark Orr [EMAIL PROTECTED] ================================================ BRLUG - The Baton Rouge Linux User Group Visit http://www.brlug.net for more information.
