speaking of things with the word 'evolution' in them, RevolutionOS, a film documenting the rise of Open Source, will be playing Monday night on the Sundance Channel.
It features the expected names in Open Source/Free Software: RMS, ESR, Linus, maddog, etc. I went to a LUG meeting last night where Eric Raymond was asked his opinion of the finished product. He said it was misleadingly RMS-centric, but otherwise a good job. We're also trying to get a screening of the show done at a theatre here in Houston (as they are doing in Austin later this month), it may be worthwhile for BRLUG to try similar efforts in BR. -Tim Dustin Puryear wrote: > If anyone is interested in the following review let me know. > > Regards, Dustin > >> X-Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> X-Mailer: QUALCOMM Windows Eudora Version 5.1 >> Date: Thu, 14 Mar 2002 16:30:40 +0000 >> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> From: Rod McCall <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >> Subject: Review of Revolution >> >> Hi, >> >> I am writing to ask whether your user group may be interested in >> reviewing Revolution, the award-nominated cross-platform development >> tool.
