The drug trade serves as income for the Columbian guerillas, so that's proof right there on the drug front. (I define anyone that uses a car bomb in the middle of a city as a terrorist, so this applies.) Legalizing marijuana would reduce some of that income, but there are still hard drugs, like cocaine, that would be a problem. But software piracy? That's stretching it a bit.
