Wonder how the IRQs are allocated on your system? I would have expected one to be needed by the USB card and one for the on-bord USB port. You would have disabled the serial and parallle ports in BIOS, so there would be three IRQs available for USB, depending on what else you have attached.
When my printer arrives I'll check out the USB option, as well as with the parallel port tape. Wonder who in Baton Rouge has the USB to parallel converter cable? See one or two on the Web at about the $30 quoted in a message. Any preference as to make/model? Assume Monday meeting is at Brewbacher's on Bluebonnet.
