I've taken linux upon myself as a hobby and I don't use it
professionaly, so it's no surprise to me that I haven't used emacs until
now, if I needed to do text editing in the command line, I just used vi.

In the short time I've experimented with emacs, I've found it to be
quite useful.  For html, it beats the days when I used notepad as a
windows user, and it has some nice features to make writing shell
scripts easier.  Anyone here use emacs regularly?  And what do you use
it for?  Just curious.
