I've taken linux upon myself as a hobby and I don't use it professionaly, so it's no surprise to me that I haven't used emacs until now, if I needed to do text editing in the command line, I just used vi.
In the short time I've experimented with emacs, I've found it to be quite useful. For html, it beats the days when I used notepad as a windows user, and it has some nice features to make writing shell scripts easier. Anyone here use emacs regularly? And what do you use it for? Just curious. -- "Be true to yourself and you will never fall" - Beastie Boys ================================================ BRLUG - The Baton Rouge Linux User Group Visit http://www.brlug.net for more information.
