Why not just use Gnutella or any of the open source P2P download clients? Sure, the tradeoff is that it may be a little harder to figure out at first, but the fact that it is open source means that such "features" can't be hidden. Well, after a second look, Gnutella clients appear to be pretty user friendly after all. When I played with it I used a command line version.
