Couldn't have said it better myself.  :-)

Needs 64 megs?  Why?  To speed up the compiling process?  Also, If you go
with one of the pre-builds, isn't that defeating half the purpose of using
gentoo?  When discussing it with others, the portage system always seems to
be second banana to the fact that you compile everything yourself.
