Not a general but I got my tech KD5QZG I stick with the 2M stuff mostly I'm fixing to use my license to play around with some 2.4Ghz 802.11 wireless networking gear using an abandoned primestar dish that i'm going to modify to be a directional antenna
I believe that having a ham license lets you legally push up to 100 watts on some of the channels on wifi gear that is in the 2.4 Ghz range, but don't quote me on that. I'm not going to be doing any high power stuff any time soon. The 2.4Ghz amps are expensive. Adam J.
