I don't understand how the presence of water implies that life necessarily exists natively on Mars. It certainly implies that life could exist or could have existed.
It does imply that we could live there, much more easily than has been supposed in the past. Look for $ from the industrial mega-corps flowing into NASA soon to sponsor further investigation. We could be seeing the beginnings of a new race to space!
