I learned Basic on a Vic-20. It was really neat to come home and code =
in my homework to make sure it was correct. No one else in my class had a =
computer at home. I actually corrected the instructor's "solution" to a =
problem and even showed him his error one day after class. In 1984 when =
computer geeks had all the power because they had all the computers that =
was a rare thing, I'll never forget the expression on Bernie Parasol's =
face, the furrowed brow, the look of puzzlement and concern as I =
explained that his loop needed a "return" statement.
