He was probably talking about the slapper worm. It was pretty much nothing to worry about. You had to be running as rott and being fairly careless to have any problems. It taught about 7,000 sysadmin the error of their ways. As opposed to any script-kiddie worm aimed at Lookout that hoses a few million everytime.
