I've used both EAtel and BellSouth (ADSL) with non-MS operating systems
and I'd expect that most other ISPs will work fine. The basic rule is:

"Don't expect too much and you will not be disappointed"

If you can set up a DHCP and a Static IP on your computer then you
probably know more than their front-line support techs so you should do
fine. If you want a recommendation - EAtel, if you can get service in
your area. BellSouth are OK if you just want a regular connection but
they get bent out of shape with any non-standard requests.
