Yep, it is that easy, if its compiled into your kernel (or you have the
module).  The MIMEdefang queue area on our mailserver is on a ram disk,
it's setup like this:

/sbin/mke2fs  /dev/ram0
/bin/mount /dev/ram0 /sendmail/mqueue/MIMEDefang

The only suck thing is the default is 4mb... add this to the kernel
line in your grub config to make it 100mb

ramdisk_size=100000

But if you want more than one ramdisk, i think they all have to be 
100mb...
