Our frined Tex (John) is disabled, and thus has far more time than you or I to read the lists. He is also a bit younger. While I would really prefer that he choose more sociable language to frame his remarks, I hate to discourge his input.
John, why don't you write me off-list with the off-color comments. I was in the Army for 13 years and I am not easily offended. I may write back and tell you that you are all wet, but you will not offend me, or drive people off the list that do not want off-color comments in their in-box that their kids might read. In general, it is poor form to use such language in an list, and we really no not care for flames or denigrating remarks on this list. It is open to all At least in my case this includes a 10 year old girl. To be honset John, I think your off-color remarks should not be sent out. It is OK to poke fun. It is gret to be be a flea when an old dog needs one, but does foul language or potty humor accomplish anything? If you want feed-back write me off-list. I answer every email I get. I post essays when they are submitted. For every comment there is a correct forum. This just does not happen to be a good forum for low-brow humor.
