Wendy and Dr. Iyengar,
Please make this information available to appropriate
students. If you'd
like to recommend particular students, please contact
Julie.

Thanks,
Mary

My name is Julie Purdy (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED])
and I'm a Program
Manager for Volt Computer Services. I am working with
 Microsoft to find
excellent candidates for their Student Ambassador
Program. Your school has
been targeted due to the high number of
Computer-Related degrees issued
from your computer programs. We are looking for one
qualified/active
student in good standing that will be representing
Microsoft and their
latest .NET Technologies on your campus. The student
would be hired as a
part-time employee (5-15 hours per week and you set
your own schedule) of
Volt Computer Services for the fall and spring
academic year.
http://www.microsoft.com/net/ If selected, the
student can start
immediately. We are looking for a student that would
be interested in
continuing with the program for the Fall/Spring
2003-2004 year.

These are the requirements for the position:
Candidates that are using Microsoft web
technologies already, not
      necessarily the new .NET technologies
Candidates with a "B" GPA or above
Experience speaking to peers and large groups
MUST BE involved in a computer club or
organization related to their
major (ideally holding an officer position)
Need to be very dedicated, outgoing and
energized
Well connected with students and faculty in
their major
      Computer Science, Computer Engineering or
Computer Information
      Systems Majors only
      Enthusiasm that is contagious!!!!!!

Benefits:
Exposure to some of the hottest technology and
software
Learning materials for yourself and door prizes
to give away at
      events
Great experience to add to your resume
      Students make their own schedule
Great way to make a positive impact for current
& future students at
your university and to make new contacts among
the student, staff &
      faculty population at your school.

We are looking for students that have at least a year
left of school (at
least Spring 2004). Candidates will be scheduled for
a half-hour phone
interview. We are preferably looking for
faculty-recommended students that
have the dedication and enthusiasm to represent the
latest Microsoft .NET
technologies. We would really like to fill this
position as soon as
possible.

Please let me know what you feel would be the best way
to locate
potentially qualified candidates for the program. I
have a job posting
document that I could forward to you if you are
interested. If you could
post the job opening on the department bulletin board
that would be
fantastic. If anyone is interested please have them
send a copy of their
resume to me. We would love to see your school
represented!

Thank you for your time.
