You can actually do this without SUS with a bit of scripting (possibly a logon or nightly script), qchain, and an email subscription to Microsoft's Advisory list. While at Vedalabs all I needed to do was type: X:\ADMIN> update_ntsvr.cmd And the server and server applications would fully be fully updated and only require one reboot. This was under NT. Of course this was for servers and not desktops.
