OSCON is a very well-respected conference. Even better, I went last year and it was quite geeky. As far as the conference focus this year as a way to embrace and extend proprietary software, I think they are just trying to have sessions that demonstrate how to push closed software a bit farther with open source. Take a look at their sessions: http://conferences.oreillynet.com/pub/w/23/sessions.html And of course there are the usual tracks that simply focus on open source software. >OK, Dustin, you are the man. Hey, I'm a sucker for San Diego. Whatever conference is there is the one I want to do. :) Anyway, I would like to see a fellow LUG member go if possible. Anyone that is interested should email me and we will pull a name from a hat. I need to know who is interested by Tuesday or so if possible. Speaking of conferences, is anyone else going to NetSec next month? The conference is being held in New Orleans! I am pretty sure you can sign up for a free floor pass on their website. Maybe we should make a LUG trip? --- Dustin Puryear <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Puryear Information Technology Windows, UNIX, and IT Consulting http://www.puryear-it.com
