[brlug-general] rpm in a bin file

Hi All,
Just installed RH 8.0 specifically to run OpenNMS.
During the install it stopped and told me that I needed java installed and it 
gave me the url to download the software.  downloaded the software but it came 
to me with an name.rpm.bin format.  What do I do to get it out of the bin and 
into rpm format so that I can install it.  Or am I missing something new?  Can 
it install directly from the .bin file?
