I went through several EXPENSIVE and not so expensive video cards to try
a dual head configuration in RH8. I ended up with a fairly cheap card
that I have been extremely pleased with. It worked EXACTLY as I wanted
it to. Also, I had more problems with ATI cards than anything... Even
the $400 ATI 9700 pro that I tried.

The card that I am using now is a Matrox G450 and it had the hardware
acceleration support without any special drivers, kernel modules, etc.
X takes about 4-5 seconds to come up. This is on a AMD XP1800 system.

Hope this helps,
Shannon
