John, I have been playing with Partimage and have been able to successfully (I think) create images of the various Linux and Window$ installations that I have. Partimage nicely split the files into CD "burnable" size files. However, when I try to do a restore and give Partimage the name of the 1st file in the file set, I get an error (I don't remember specifically what the error is at the moment as I am at work). I find that Partimage writes the image files VERY fast, even with high compression. If I can get past this road block, I will be a very happy camper.
