I thought this would be of interest. It seems that pop.east.cox.net (cox's mail server) is not compliant with the rfc for the pop protocol. When sent the "CAPA" command, the server will not respond with a correctly formatted error string, this can cause Evolution 1.4 and over to freeze, waiting for the next command. I know the developers for evolution have stated they are tired of working around faulty pop servers and are not going to work around these kinds of errors in the new versions of evolution, thats why evolution 1.2 will work and 1.4 will not work. You can get around this using popfile or some other tools like fetchmail. I just thought it a tad bit funny.
